Author’s Note: This is the final piece for my “Why I Write” project. Originally, this piece was written in essay form; however, I came to the conclusion that in order to best describe my love-hate relationship with writing I needed to speak about what writing means to me and more specifically, what it does for me. When choosing my the three questions that I wanted to be asked, I kept in mind the structure and argument of the assignment prompt, and chose questions that I believed would successfully accomplish the prompt. Luckily, this piece turned into something that I am very proud of. I hope that my audience is able to appreciate this piece as much as I do and that it has the same, if not greater, impact that an essay would have had.
